Window

I've finished (well, almost ) the window. I haven't fixed two frames together yet, so the lower part is a bit off. This is the first time I made stained glass window - actually I made two and I cannot choose between them:) The design is mine - I went through some art nouveau stained glass designs and thought it would be reasonable to make my own instead of copying. Now I need to think of the complementary design for the walls. I hope that tomorrow I'll start working on the furniture for the roombox, I'm still nervous about the whole thing, I love art nouveau too much.

You've made a lovely job of the "stained glass". It's very effective and sets off your frame.

Your window and stained glass is gorgeous! I also have a deep love of art nouveau, so I understand your nervousness, but if the rest look half as good as this window there will be nothing to be nervous about! I'm so looking forward to see the progress!

@ Tallulah Belle: I tried two ways: contour line paste and a thread. In first case, you should be extra careful not to make the line too thick. The thread was much easier but not so with circles.

Very pretty! You building a church?

I am curious about Jayne's comment on lead. Won't glass paint do?

Victoria said...

@Sans: It won't be a church, at 1900 stained glass was used at houses too. I'm making the bedroom and with my window I used glass paint too and contour line paste.
